Southwest New Jersey, Delaware River drainage, in a lake. Locally abundant, living on the surface over a shallow sandy bottom with shell mostly exposed. Shell length is roughly 3 inches. Corbicula were present, but did not seem to be abundant. Are these pictures enough to ID?

I had to euthanize the surviving half of this poor guy. I can't imagine how he could still have been alive. That wound must be days old, judging from the infection.

Might be Elliptio complanata - one of the commonest species in the Atlantic drainages.
