I apologize in advance if these end up being TN Shiners, I don't see the same size wedge at the caudal base on these however.Burnsville+_6_.JPG

I can't see Burnsville without thinking about snorkeling. You should have been in the water with them!

Haha, I did see some great snorkeling spots but I haven't gotten into that yet. Beautiful locations up there, near Mt. Mitchell I think.

#1-2:  Blunt snout, big oval eye, slender body makes me think Mirror shiner ???

Whitetail should be the only Cyprinella in the Toe-Nolichucky, so yes on #8, probably.

NC has only one stoneroller species, far as i know.

#6, 7, could be Telescope, and #10 i think Tennessee. Tel's have 10-11 anal rays; Ten's have 8-9.

Gerald I counted exactly 10 rays on #7, so Telescope I think. Thanks for the help with the id's.

I did see some Darters in a deep pool with the prettiest blue color on their chest and or head but I couldn't get one. It would have been a great snorkling trip.
