I'm going on vacation in Massachusetts for a week in June, a state I lived in part of my childhood. Lots of fond memories fishing in Massachusetts as a kid or exploring creeks. Staying in a private cottage with the wife on a private lake called Brookhaven (Shaw Pond) east of Ware. Using it as a home base to hit Quabbin for fishing, and a lake farther east that is now a Federal Nature Preserve. The lake farther east is a small kettle lake known as "Mirror Lake" (real name is Big Hell Pond), but the military changed it to Mirror Lake when they used the property as an Army Post. (The former Ft. Devens.)

The only info I can find on the Brookhaven reservoir is it's a 34 acre reservoir, averages 6 feet deep to a max of 10 feet, and appears to be tannin stained. Anybody know anything else?

I'm sure it has the typical panfish as in bluegill, pumpkinseeds, bass, and crappies.

Don't worry I won't show up at your door step. Too much fishing to do. LOL
