I have a pond that has had Warmouth as the only fish species for seven years now.  They are the prettiest Warmouth I have ever seen.  They are the only population I have ever seen where they move about in the open like Bluegill.  They maybe demonstrating phenotypic plasticity to the extreme when it comes to gape size.  Many appear to have small gape size for Warmouth.  None are bigger than 5" with most 4" or less.  Spawning will be underway soon making for extreme competition if typical isolated nest sites are all that will be used.

Find ways for people not already interested in natives to value them.

If you get around to snapping a pic of one of those guys and posting it on here that would be great.

I've got a few in a 500 gallon mixed sunfish pond and they are a really neat fish both in looks and behavior. Probably my favorite sunfish species overall. I'm going to put one indoors in my 110 gallon when I get a chance.
