I am looking forward to finally try some dipping and catch something other than crayfish(which is the majority of what my minnow traps get).

Had one for about a year. Best dipnet I've ever used. Have fun with it!!!

Have a blast, man! Those Perfect Dipnets are fantastic. Let us know what you find besides crayfish.

Great net, and now you can target specific habitats. Now you hunt instead of trap. Really. More fun tracking fish down, identifying them and releasing them. Then keeping the occasional specimen that you want to keep and learn more about. Great hobby. Good luck and enjoy that net.

The stream I was working was 4'-6' wide and anywhere from inches to 4' deep.  There was a pool in front of a culvert.

I also caught a massive tadpole.  It was near 1.5" in diameter, with a 2.5" tail.  Legs were just starting to sprout.
