Hey y'all, I'm hoping to get some ideas on a set up I'm planning for my apartment at school. I have spare 20 and 29 tanks that I'd like to use. I'm hoping to house sailfin mollies in the tank. The catch is the tank will also be housing a green tree frog that I've had for awhile and will be taking to school since I'm no longer restricted to keeping only fish. Since it will be a divided tank, what would y'all recommend as far as filtration goes? I'd like it to be as quiet as possible since I'll have a roommate. Ive been researching sponge filters but I've never actually used one in a tank so I'm not sure how effective they are. In addition, I'm hoping to get a self sustaining population of mollies since the nearest population is four hours from school on the coast. I don't think I'll have room for another tank to house fry, so would my best bet be providing a lot of hiding places to shelter the fry? I want to make sure the tank is set up right for the sake of the fish as well as the people living in the apartment, so I'd love to hear any ideas as to how I can make it a success. Thanks!
