I have a 90g that I am setting up as a Walstad type tank and would like to keep Lined Topminnows, Eastern Mudminnows, and Bluespotted Sunfish. Any suggestions as to the number of each species? I have heard varying reports about the aggressiveness of the topminnows towards each other. Any other problems you can see with this tank? Worry a little about the topminnows being too greedy with the food for the others. Thanks

I think your tank sound like a fun experiment. Start with small mudminnows and I think it could definitely work. I have a 25 Walsted setup and a 75 that runs with lots of plant (but also a cannister) so I am extrapolating a bit. But with that caveat;
8 Enneacanthus
8 Fundulus (you will have some losses maybe but they mostly only pick on each other)
4 mudminnows (again I would say start small)
