Hello, I caught a bunch of darters today, and only kept 4 just because Im not extremely fermillialr with them. I have a new stream tank I recently set up, and I think they will be s good for. Im in southwestern Ohio (little Miami river watershed). Thanks. Also Im pretty new here, so I will be introducing myself soon. Thanks. Also I am pretty sure two of them are rainbow darters.

I just now saw the rule about taking pictures at the stream before you take them home. Im sorry about that. I was already pretty sure about the species of fish, but just wanted to get a positive id to make sure.

well i think i got a rainbow darter and a greenside darter and 2 blackside darters

The one with the dorsal knobs and black line through the eye is a Fantail (or whatever is the Fantail equivalent in that river basin).  Agree with Greenside and Rainbow.

Greenside, fantail, then combo of male and female rainbows.

I dont want them to breed, so should I remove one of the rainbows and put it in another tank?

No need to remove one.  If they do breed, the eggs or fry will most likely get eaten.  Rainbows don't have any parental care.  Fantail males care for the eggs until the fry leave the nest, soon after hatching, but no care care beyond that, and thus no brood-care induced aggression like cichlids and sunfish.
