Three or four of my blacknosed dace are exhibiting what looks to be siezures and arching their bodies while swimming erratically. One creek chub that I can see is exhibiting the same symptoms and I just noticed two darters doing it as well. I had this happen a long time ago to some big, beautiful black ruby barbs and they all died I am able to notice what look like bruises under the creek chub's skin. There is a similar mark on a tesselated darter below and aft of the dorsal fin and becaause their flesh is kind of translucent I can see that this one looks like a burst blood vessel within the "meat" of the tail...
Does anyone know what this could be? Are these symtpoms of VHS?
My fish are not well

Check your water parameters. I'm guessing high ammonia content.

I think that you are right. I did some reading and the symptoms match-up pretty good. I did not cycle the tank long enough before adding more than a couple fish. Thanks.

Scott, have you ever tried fishless cycling? Best thing since sliced bread.
