Does anyone have any good literature on niche partitioning between similar cyprinids? Specifically Creek Chubs and Bluehead Chubs? Seems like they always cohabitate. Thanks!!

Freshwater Fishes of Virginia (Jenkins & Burkhead) has extensive habitat descriptions.  From my own observations, Semotilus go higher up into headwater creeks and Nocomis get farther down into larger streams, but as you know there's lots of overlap.  And their mouth shapes suggest different  diets, with Semotilus being more carnivorous.
