If you've never seen a 144 year old fish before, it's kinda fascinating. Even if it is pickled.

Cool story!
CPW says it will be developing a brood stock of the rediscovered species to reintroduce it into the headwaters of the San Juan River and a conservation plan to protect the fish “over the next few years.”
We've come so close to losing a lot of these western endemics, so it's always a relief to hear that a captive breeding program is being put in place to make sure we don't lose them.
