Hi all! I am desiring to try aquaponics this year. I want to have a 20 gallon water garden with an eggplant and lettuce growing out of it, and I was wondering if there were any sunnies large enough to provide the needed amount of nutrients while still being comfortable in such a relatively small container. Without knowing the details of your setup, you could keep 1-3 bantam sunfish in a vegetated 20 gallon without issue.
