Finally moved my stonecat from my darter tank into another tank . This smaller tank will be his home for a little while until I get something bigger. Right now, just river rock and gravel, kind of plain but will add some more details to it within a week or two. Just had to get him moved and wanted a river bottom type setting. I also want to make up a rock backdrop board to go in behind the tank to block out the plain cedar wood wall behind it.

This guy has grown a LOT since mid October when I caught him. He was 2.5 inches long then and is now 6.5 inches long. He's half his full size in just a bit over 5 months. He's now eating 4" shiners, so it was time to get him away from the darters.

Stonecat madtoms get to 12" ??!!!

Dang, I was hoping these guys were mini cats that maxed out at 6" so I could keep em in a 37 gallon.

Yours looks super awesome though! Were you targeting madtoms when you caught it? If so, any tips? I've never caught one.
