I ordered a 42" lift net ofF the internet. They are $4 if you wait for it to get here on a slow boat from China, lol. I got mine from Amazon for $7 and got in in 2 days.
I captures a bunch of sailfin mollies, 1" bluegills and a 2.5" bass.
I am very pleased with the net, but not pleased with my lack of patience. I need to bring a book to read, or just walk away and fish or dipnet.

I might need to get me one of these nets. Neat bass!

I've been kinda curious about those for shallow water streams at bridge crossings.  Like you say, leave it for a long time and come back and give it a hoist.
