About a week ago my bluefin killies started showing some ich cysts (likely from some plants I had recently added). I dropped in a heater and added salt at 2 tbs per 5 gallons. The Ich has gone through three cycles now with the number of cysts decreasing each time. I havent seen any obvious signs of ich for about two days now so hopefully I've gotten rid of it.

However, about half of the fish have some discolored spots that don't look like ich. They're white but slightly larger than a normal ich cyst and not raised (flush with scales). Is this likely to be a secondary fungal infection? Or does it just take some time for the fish to completely heal after the cysts rupture?

Just looking for any thoughts on this; thanks!
