I'm planning a fairy shrimp tank and I want to use my spotted ramshorns, but im afraid they'll eat the fairy shrimp eggs and reduce the numbers. I plan on a semi continuous culture, doing water changes with rain or distilled water(dripping in to prevent shock) as I've heard a large amount of new soft water can stimulate hatching of cysts in an established colony, so I'll need there to be cysts in the sand to hatch. Anyone raise "pest" snails with fairy shrimp?

If it cant work I'll probably end up with a some mystery snails for an attention grabber

I've never dealt with fairy shrimp specifically but I am pretty sure my ramshorn snails are eating my ricefish eggs.
