Im located in Camden county NJ area and I collect from the Big Timber creek watershed which is a tributary of the DE river. While dip-netting in the vegetation of a local lake i came across these shrimp! The reason why im posting is i have NEVER came across these shrimp in any NJ freshwater waterbodies. The only other time ive netted ghost shrimp was of the saltwater species in the Delaware bay watershed .

Has anyone in NJ came across these wild freshwater ghost shrimp? Ive tried the tidal creeks , DE river , numerous lakes and ive never had any luck .

Looks like there've been a few sightings.

I find lots of them in the Cohansey river through Bridgeton, which is tidal. I have not seen them further upstream, but the tributaries I frequent are separated by artificial outfalls on the downstream end.
