I've had trouble seining on my own.  Fishing is a private affair for me at this time.  I have had to try and make do.  This is what I've come up with:

 

 

There are rope handle leading to the ends for lifting.

I started with a Perfect Dipnet, but the opening is so small that I started using a 4x4 seine when going alone.  I've actually moved up and can use a 4x6ft seine pretty well by myself.

The real question is do you want to push a seine, like herding things... or do you want to set the seine and kick into it.

Those were great. How had I not seen that before? Pitch and Kick. I will use this post to point folks to these videos. In fact we should reference these from the website. Especially as you are dressed so very nicely (bluehead chubs RULE!).

I have the perfect dipnet and absolutely love it. I tried a 4x4 seine and just did not have the arm strength to scoop with it more than a few times. With this I will be able to brace against my middle and use the cords attached to the ends to lift. (I hope)

Hey Josh, how would you do the run seining technique with two people?  Does the net stay to one side and ahead?

Same way, just one person on each pole.
