We get these in Mississippi - very nice fish. Amusing habits. A. beani is common here is well.

Irate,
Sand darters are pretty interesting animals. There is a site in Mississippi where you can get three sand darter species in sympatry, A. beani, A. vivax and A. clara.

This is in the Big Black River. Have you ever sampled there? I have not, but would really like to get three sand darters at one site.

The Big Black is not what I call sampling friendly, at least not for the hobbyist. The Mississippi delta in general is pretty uninviting. But come on down, I'll go with you ! I've never seen A. clara.

It seems like everyone knows each other pretty good. I don't know anybody here :(

I'm going to have to try out my new digital camera soon. I want to create a short video of my fishing hole with my camera.

Stick around, hang out with some local NANFAns, go to conventions - before you know it you'll be friends with us all!

Make up your mind soon. The convention in Greensboro is next weekend. And it's only a couple hours away from you, too! You could probably commute if you want to.

I won't be able to go this soon. My family and I just moved and we're trying to get settled in.
