My new set up, collected from Onemo, Va tidal creeks. Specific gravity of 1.012. I had a 10 gallon originally but I didnt know my pantanal roaches ate the sealant clean. So for now the 5.5 will do. They enjoy flakes, pellets, squash and crabgrass. Four of them live in the sponge inside the filter. I dont care much for the design. Anyone have any ideas how to make a sand bank for burrowing? You could use spray foam and reef rock to build a wall to hold back sand above the water line.  You can also stuff mussel shells or oyster shells into the foam between the rocks when it's still wet.  You can also use super glue or a good reef epoxy to glue shells the live rock.  Mussels and/or oysters will add to the realism.  The foam will expand, so keep that in mind (it will help keep the shells imbedded).  You can also design it to look like a mud bank pushing sand back by painting the foam with gray Drylok, or mix it with cement dye, (I know someone that did that) and stuffed mussel shells in it.  You can get mussel shells from your grocery store perhaps, make a nice meal and save the shells.   Same with oysters.
