I have used them. They work best with fish that feeding aggressively and stocked at a high density. Both are important with the fish learning how to bump rod. They may not bump it hard or frequently enough to get feeder to dispense enough to justify effort for the fish. The biggest down side has been a few fish figure out they can defend where the feed falls so they set up a feeding territory denying others access to the feed or ability to bump rod. This sets up so you see additional size variation over time.

The devices work great with fish in a raceway for a culture tank with high stocking densities. My preference is to also provide supplemental hand feeding to promote more intake.

Hello.

Here is a model I made, maybe the regulator is not wide enough.

Can't wait to try it.

You will need to fiddle with it to dispense feed without over feeding, especially if fish are small.
