Hello all. Caught these guys in a minnow trap from a retention pond today. Thinking largemouth fry.
Thanks for the help!

Isn't Orlando down in Florida Bass territory?

Centrarchid-Yes it is. Lots of lakes and ponds to fish from.

After further research, I'm thinking these fish could be Blackmouth Shiners. Picture below is from floridamuseum.ufl.edu

No, I think you had it right originally. Decent photos in a flat-sided photo tank would help a lot, but even with these I seem to be able to make out two dorsal (top) fins as well as a squarish caudal (tail) fin, both of which point to bass and not a shiner/minnow.

I think centrarchid was referring to the fact that in that part of Florida these would technically be the Florida Bass subspecies of Largemouth Bass.

Thanks Isaac for the clarification on Centrarchids post and the ID help. The black nose was throwing me off but when you mentioned the shape of the caudal fin and the two dorsal fins, I am more confident they are Bass. And yes, Central Florida would be Florida Bass country. Down here we forget that theyre a subspecies of the Largemouth Bass.

The Florida Bass has been elevated to species.

Fry in first image are centrarchids.
