I went to Woodbury TN yesterday to see the redbands in all their splendor. They are great fun to watch it their large numbers alongside the southern redbelly dace and fringed darters. Quite a few creek chubs made an appearance as well, along with the largest one I've seen up till now.

On the way back towards home I stopped in McMinnville at the Barren Fork greenway. Got to see some northern studfish juveniles and cherry darters. Water was still a bit high from all the recent rain so I never was able to snag the tantalizing males in all their colors

Outstanding!  I’ve fished the Stones River in Murfreesboro but never run across Redbands.  Looks like they are further upstream in more headwater areas.   Regardless, I will be now be making a side trip to Woodbury the next time I’m in Nashville.  Thanks for posting.
