My husband come home recently with what I believe to be a mud puppy. Curious if that is in fact what it is or is it something else? It has the weird gills like the mud puppy. It has black thick lines going from its head to its tail horizontally. Found in South Eastern Kentucky.

We'll need a picture to know, but based on the stripes I'd say it's definitely a possibility
