Hi all, I am relatively new to keeping native fish in an aquarium, and I am considering buying a 75 gallon to start with. I'm thinking of catching a couple creek chubs, and maybe a stonecat to start with. Would this tank be large enough to house the creek chubs for life? I just want to make sure that its not too small for them, as I am concerned about potentially stunting their growth or something else going wrong. Thanks

I think creek chubs would be alright - they don't tend to move  a whole lot compsred to something like shiners. I've only ever kept one before, so my experience with them is limited.

They'll be fine in a 75 G. Creek chubs can get to 10" length. However, to keep in mind is that they're not community fish, have huge mouths, and and are greedy, but not picky eaters. If it fits, they'll eat it.

Any updates on how the creek chubs panned out? I am also thinking about setting up a 75 gallon native tank and have it narrowed down to either: 3 creek chubs, 3 black bullheads, or 5 green sunfish
