I was looking at the orange spotted and blue spotted sunfish abd i was wondering if there were any other sunfish that would work well in a 40 breeder.

Maybe banded or dollar sunfish.

Those are good candidates for a 40 breeder, depending on stocking levels, tank layout, etc.  Enneacanthus would all do great.  Smaller Lepomis like orangespotted, dollar, or bantam could work.
