I'd like to keep a trio of native fish but I'm not sure if 75 would be big enough or if I should pony up and go bigger.

The stocking possibilities Im interested in: x3 bullheads, or x3 bluegills, or x3 creek chubs, or x3 yellow perch, or x3 black crappie

is 75 gallons adequate for any of these possible stocking options?

Creek chubs, depending on the size, will probably be fine in a smaller than 75 gallon tank. As for the other fishes, the same thing goes. Though, they usually get a lot bigger than the chubs. Bluegill grow to an average of 7.5 inches, while chubs grow to an average of 2-5 inches (both of these fish can grow to be 11 inches or more). You could probably get away with a 30 gallon tank, if using the one gallon per inch of fish rule. As for crappie, they grow to an average of 10 inches, though they can grow to be 19. As with perch, their average is the same as a bluegill's, but can grow to be 15 inches long, but it usually takes a long time for them to grow that long. .

If you are going to get either three chubs or three gill, I'd get a 20-30 gallon tank. For perch, I'd also get a 30 tank. And for crappie, a 40 gallon tank.

If anyone says anything different than me, I'd consider listening to them, since I ain't the best with tanks.

You made my day Linkasaurus! Currently, Petco is doing a 50% tank sale so I can buy a 75 gallon for only $115 or spend upwards of $300 on a 125 gallon.

Would much rather save the money on the 75 gallon and use the extra cash on live plants and other aquarium items.
