You've inspired me dude, I plan to set my 75 up as saltwater using native fish from my area, it will be a while before I get it set up. I plan to make most of the hardware I need and collect locally, lots of really interesting stuff around here, much like what you have collected. We even get some stray tropicals here as well. It's been decades since I did this, I am looking forward to it, I will post videos of the tank when it is set up.

Well, Im glad for that. Thank you also for your kind comments on my YouTube videos, much appreciated. When you start, please post your build thread here too. I definitely would follow it here and anywhere else you post it. Sounds like an awesome tank, especially with tropical strays!

Here's an update to the Chesapeake Bay Biotope Oyster Reef Aquarium... I added some new critters in the tank, most notably sea squirts (Mogula manhattensis), some of which were attached to a beer bottle. I guess it wouldn't be a complete Chesapeake theme if it didn't have a beer bottle in it. Well, fish hide in them and critters grow on them, so...there ya go. I added it to the tank. Also, about half way in on the video, I play a prank on a mud crab, not so much a prank, but do something to demonstrate their behavior. Enjoy!

I've loved watching this tank become what it is. Great work!

Thank you so much! There are a couple more blenny species in your area than we have...maybe a future build for you ;)

Hi Everyone.

It's been a long time since I've provided an update of this tank, or done a video. I've been doing a LOT of fishing and haven't kept my tanks "pretty" enough for videos LOL.

Anyway, my expensive Ecotech Radion XR30 Pro LED light crapped out on me after 2 years of use, so I apologize for the rough lighting in this video. It made my tank beautiful while it worked, but now it's a pile of junk. I'm going to send it back for repair, but of course, I bought it in 2014 and the warranty had expired long ago even though I didn't start using it until 2022. I'm really disappointed. We'll see what happens with the repair saga. If the results aren't satisfactory, then my next fixture will be another brand for sure.

About the tank. I collected a lot more hermit crabs and they really make the tank and bottom come alive. They're so active. I'm thrilled as I found several good collecting spots. I also collected an NPS whip coral (Leptogorgia virgulata) which is really cool. I guess my tank is now a real reef tank LOL. Any tips on whip coral husbandry will be much appreciated.

I hope you enjoy the video update!
