Went to a certain park in Colletsville, NC, bordering the John's River just above its confluence with Mulberry Creek. Didn't stay long, but obtained my target fish, Fieryblack Shiners. Both times I've caught these fish have been in this river. They were quite abundant, and I obtained them of various sizes using a Cast Net in a particular pocket, which produced quite a number. I also caught Warpaint Shiners, Spottail Shiners? and young Bluehead Chubs.
In this same river about a week prior, I caught (no photos):
2 fieryblacks
Greenfin Shiner
Spottail Shiner
Warpaint Shiner
Central Stoneroller
Bluehead Chub
2 unknown sucker species
Piedmont Darter
Tesselated Darter.
