I figure they would be fine when I lived up in WNC we had 2 in a small pond near us that had no current and was muddy and the rainbows did fine
I want to get one of each (rainbow and cutthroat). I was wondering if they would do well in my current setup. I have a 600 gallon above ground swimming pool with about a foot-long Northen Pike, 2 bullheads, a black crappie, and a LMB. The average temp is 60 degrees Farenheit, cooler in the shade. This pool has a wide surface area, with native plants, shade and a light current, and I change the water often. I understand these guys need oxygen and a lot of it, so I am asking if anybody else here has expierience with one these two species (I seem to remember somebody named creekcrawler who had some pics of their trout). I am not worried about them getting bullied, as trout are very pugnacious fish. My bass is a pansy, and these trout would be to big for the pike to eat, so they would be ignored.

As for the cutthroat, I know around here they usually occur in the high mountain streams that run colder and faster than other bodies of water. 60 degrees seems warm for them compared to the temps of the streams I've seen them in.
