mixing yellow and red...

...bluefin killies are they ok together or should I set up another tank for my new yellow ones?
and as far as I know my red strain babies are all red with no yellows do the strains have pass overs or no?

edit: I know they are the same species I was asking about mixing the strains

We catch all three color variations from the same spot....many times in the same dip. I mix mine.

I think there is a study on territorial, courtship and spawning behavior of these color morphs in the same habitat in nature in the last few years. May be worth searching for?

I'll look into that but I have figured that trying to seperate them is just to hard I figured they wouldnt get far in a 5g... 3 tanks down the row and I have 1 out of the 5 yellow ones
btw be sure to cover yours they jump like sliversides :mrgreen:
