Does anyone know of a good dipnet for catching invertebrates like daphnia or scuds and like-sized critters? It seems like most dipnets are designed to catch fish fry size level objects and up.

The fine mesh "Perfect Dipnet" at Jonah's Aquarium works very well for most things. You could stitch a more fine screen on the bottom panel for things like daphnia.

I use a butterfly net that I got at Dick's. It isen't very good for fish and such but wil work well for inverts like the ones you mention.

There is a 1/32" mesh bug netting model available. Or is that the one you mean?

It works great if you can find the daphnia.
