I recently sent in a letter to the Ne game and parks, this is the reply:
Steve,
A person can keep any of our “native” fish in an aquarium as long as they are legally captured. For sport fish species that will mean they have to be legally caught on hook & line. You would also need a valid Nebraska fishing permit.
All of our fishing rules and regulations can be found in the 2013-2014 Fishing Guide, http://www.outdoornebraska.ne.gov/fishing/guides/fishguide/pdf/FishGuide.pdf .
That is a quick reply to your question. If you have any other questions I can help with, just ask!

Hope this helps
