I don't have a camera that can take a photo of it, but I have a sunfish that has what appears to be white worms, about .5 cm tightly attached to a few of its fins, it also has some small white spots that look like worms that have not grown as large. It is not ick, the kinda flow when he swims, I have quarantined him, but don't know what the treatment is. Any ideas? Don't think its is a normal anchor worm, the tail is not forked.
Thanks

If the parasites are attached between the rays on the fins in the membrane itself, I would bet they are leeches. Also the fact that they "flow" indicates leeches. Anchors on the otherhand will usually attach to the base of a fin in the flesh itself, I have also seen them elsewhere on fish, but never between rays on fins. They are stiff, and do not flow, but younger anchors may not exibit the "forked tail"
Fluke tabs for leeches, and Dimilin for anchors. Also manually removing either will speed up the process.
