I have those same kind of crawdads in my stream. I can't seem to find out what species they are.

I'll move it to the invertabrates tomorrow. I fear that they're Rusty Sp.

What are the water levels like in the Smokies? They are way low in the Shenandoah and guys at the local fly shop said the water is relatively warm and fish are pretty stressed.

Nice brookie! I just got into fly fishing a year or so ago and look forward to our next season fishing for them.
