Well, it was a good day fishing.

I located 2 more bodies of water that contain the Michigan grass pike (now i am up to 3.)

While fishing for larger specimens of grass pike.....I got something else.

It was a nice surprise to catch this pike on a cane pole.

All pike were released unharmed. This was just a field outing that emphasized sampling.

The little one looks just like mine! I also have good luck catching smaller northerns with very similar lures.

Curly tailed lures are awesome.

Glad too see that you have pretty easy acess to them now.
