when it comes to customs, it's only legal if they say it is, put no value on them, declare them and see what they say, don't hide anything it makes them angry!

Before you guys jumping on me, I have a permit to collecting the zebra mussels for public education and we set up a small aquarium for the live zebra mussels at a DNR headquarter. We weren't planning to keeping them alive for longer periods but they're still alive for 2 months without any food. How long can zeebs survive without any foods? The only fish in that aquarium is a madtom and I offered it some flakes and sinking pellets.

They're filter feeders. I never directly fed my corbicula clams but I kept them for years.

I'm awared of them being filter feeders, it's just they never died and I have some young ones in there too.

Sounds like they're there to stay, then, if you've got young surviving.
