I actually know of a couple of restaurants featuring native fish.

The first is a place in Paddock Lake, WI called Jimmy's. They server Chicago-style fast food: Vienna beef hot dogs, Italian beef, and hamburgers. Excellent fries. They have a 550 gallon tank with 1 pretty big LMB, about 6 rock bass, about 6 bluegills, 4 pumpkinseeds, one very nervous looking perch, a gar (!), and a snapping turtle (!!). I like to sit and watch, waiting for the inevitable carnage.

Another place is in Grafton, IL. This is right below where the Illinois meets the Mississippi. It is called the Fin Inn (www.fininn.com). My wife and I went there about 15 years ago. This is a pretty big restaurant with a large number of large tanks. They used to feature all kinds of local river fish, both on the menu and in the tanks. The pictures on the web site seem to show some large cichlids, so they must have added non-natives. The menu also features cichlids (tilapia). However, you can still get buffalo and river catfish. The food is pretty good, and reasonably priced. My complaints are trivial: 1) we got a table by a tank with one occupant, a really large snapping turtle. These are the most immobile of creatures, I don't think he even stuck his head up once to breath during our entire meal. 2) We had locally caught fried turtle for an appetizer. This is no longer on the menu. It was tough and not very tasty. The rest of the meal was good.

Any one else know of any places featuring live or cooked natives?

there was a bar in New Orleans, French quarter that had a 150 gal tank with several red spot sunnies, cant remember the exact location, it was one or 2 streets off Bourbon.

last time I went someone had put a baby alligator in the tank, I have not been there in 4-5 plus years

There is a place near me called the "Stonecat Cafe". Their sign features what I suppose is a catfish that is supposed to look like a stonecat but it really doesn't. They have no fish inside (though they should) except on the menu (local caught catfish).
