does anyone know were i could get a grass or redfin pickerel? what is the smallest tank size for either fish?

Check out the vendors section of this site, I beleive there are a few folks who may have them in stock. You could also try to catch them yourself if they are in your area. Look for them in sluggish streams and shallow lakes and ponds, particularly around weedy areas.

As for tank size, I think something with the footprint of a 55 (48X13) would be the minimum for a permanent home. They're not active swimmers so don't need a lot of room to shoot back and forth, but this is a ~10" fish, so a good amount of room is needed
