Irate, I honestly have no clue why his sensory pores are so prominent, but I have seen other Bullheads and photos of other Yellow Bullheads that look exactly the same so I think it is not too abnormal?
There is one Yellow Bullhead in the 100gal. I used to keep my Bullheads together but i have learned through trial and error not too, unless they are in the schooling stage. I have had Bullheads injured and killed due to cannibilism, so I am not planning on keeping them together. JMO. I would love to have more than one Bullhead in the same tank, it gets very expensive trying to have 1 Bullhead to 1 Large Tank. Thanks again everyone!

add some more fish!!
You dont know how tempted I am to put more fish in, I am the only person I know who has a 100gal Tank and one fish in it.
Nice Fish! Don't think I've seen a bullhead tank so clean either! I agree 100% about multiple cats in the same tank. I've experienced the same losses by trial and error also. Right now I've been semi successful keeping three 2+year old yllw's together since I first scooped them. Now all 3 are plus 7" with one closer to 9" I feel there same size and keeping the tank full of crays, small sunny, earth worm meals, has kept the fighting and cannibalism down. . Have you ever experienced similar results? Also do you know the appromix age of yours?
Thanks. The Emperor 400s do a great job keeping it clean, but weekly water changes help. lol.
My Yellow was collected on July 1, 2005, so he is around 2 years old. I think having some "distraction" fish in the tank would work well, I have never tried it yet but It is supposed to work good sometimes. If you could collect some common minnow or something and put some of those in as "dinner" then that would proabbly help too. What size tank are they in?
At one time I had 4 Yellows about 5'' long in a 40Long, and they got along fine for awhile but in about a month they couldnt be kept together.
