Hi there. I have native fishes (well, some invasive too... how can you resist plucking plecos out of the river?) at home and I work at an exhibit that has native fishes on display. Come visit us if you are in Austin! It's the Splash exhibit in the Barton Springs Pool bathhouse. Any constructive criticism on the tanks is welcome. I actually live in San Marcos right now but I'm moving up the road soon. I hate to leave this river for the icky Colorado, but I gotta do it.

Hello -- I was at the San Marcos River a little while ago. Do you have any river prawns on display at your Austin exhibit?

Hi, thanks! No, no prawns on display, unfortunately. That would be more likely at Aquarena, but I don't think they have any either; though their native fish aquaria are very cool. At our place, the only invertebrate on display currently is a very large leech.
