I'll start with some oldies first,
Just a Note, the Spring across the road from the house that run to the creek down the road a 5 minute walk away, I've Named this poop creek.....it start on the other side of town "very small town" at the natural spring,
and runs through the "creek if you will" alone the highway to the creek and most everyone in towns septic tanks brown water runs off into this spring....
Just so you know what I mean when I mention Poop Creek
Was IDed by someone as a black nose shiner, they are cool fish to have.
Darter of some sort from southern Iowa when I lived there,
5 spine Sticklebacks
Was told this one is a green sunfish, Poop creek is FULL of these of various sizes.
And the last of them, the one I got IDed here as a Blacknose Dace

Looks like a Johnny darter. Is the tip of the nose the lightest part on the face when viewed straight on?

Seems the health dept should be notified if what you say is true. This is a health hazard if children would happen to play in this water. And the one that you were told is a Green Sunfish, 'It is'
