I noticed today that my green sunfish and bluegill have like semi transparent worm like things clinging to their fins... Ill get pics up soon... any idea what they could be?

I agree with Brian, it sounds like anchor worm.

I used Jungle Lab's Parasite Clear very successfully for anchor worm, you could also try anchors away or dimilin

Make sure they are anchor worm and not leeches, as the chemicals will have little or no effect on leeches.

First I'd advise knowing exactly what you have. I'm not a fan of treating a tank that doesn't need it. If you can get a well focused photo, I'm certain we can at least determine if it's anchor worm or leech.

Looks like anchor worms to me. Take a Program flea pill, cut it in half and disolve it in water, then add it to your tank. It works as a chitin inhibitor and works very well. I've used that treatment twice now on different tanks. You only need one treatment and they're gone. It's cheaper than other meds and easier to find than dimilin. If you have any crawdads or shrimp, remove them before you treat the tank though.

If you can't get ahold of a program flea pill, buy some dimilin or better yet, buy some Jungle Parasite Clear. I've read the ingredients and both dimilin and jungle parasite clear use the same active ingredient (difluorobenzamide) Jungle parasite clear should be $3.99 or less at petco. They come in packs of 8 tablets, each tablet treats 10 gallons so if you tank is over 80 gallons, get 2 packs or more. You can repeat treatments up to 2 times once a week after a 25% water change.

It is easy to manually remove anchor worm with a tweezer.

that it is, but it's hard to net fish out of a jungle

Not that I can tell. My Java Ferns still look good and it's been quite a while since I've dosed.
