If anyone is interested in this and has questions about the people you'd be working with, area, etc. feel free to PM me. You'd be sitting about 15 feet away. Actaully two board and NANFA members currently are MDNR - MANTA employees and one former.

Well since the new forum isn't up yet (I'm 2 for 2 on those by the way :D ) and this topic is still active I have another position to post.

Natural Resource Biologist

Yup, that's right...you gotta send your resume's to me.

The pay is actually more around 14, that pay grade is out dated and erroneous.

I was thinking of applying for the NR biologist I position listed above, could you fill me in on any details of that? I have a BA with a double major in business management and environmental studies (the ES major is more policy-based rather than science-based) and several seasons experience as a seasonal ranger with the MD Park Service. Is this a strong enough background in the position requirements or do you think I would need a more science-oriented or fisheries-oriented background? Any info. or advice is appreciated!

Sorry I can't really give you any details. I have yet to interact with anyone from that division so I'm unfamiliar with their actual duties. The position description appears to sound fairly field and technically heavy. The main DNR website is your best place to check for anything else because fisheries services, the regulation/policy branch, was recently hiring.
