I took this photo this morning of a Brook Silverside that I caught Sunday night. He survived 24 hours in my acclimation cooler with about 50 other fish, before being put into his tank. I think there might be hope for this guy!

That's cool. Has he eaten yet?

No, and I don't know if he will be eating any time soon. I had the top of the tank practically hermetically-sealed and it seems that he found his way out somehow. I say "seems" because I actually can't find him! He's not in the tank, in the filter, dead in the tank, dead on the floor, nothing! He just vaporized! And I don't have any cats that may have eaten him. I hope he's just really good at hiding and that I find him in a couple of days, alive, and in the tank!

I caught a dozen Brook Silversides in Arkansas last year December -
- in the sleet and freezing temperatures. I picked the Silversides out of the net with my hand. Eleven made it home alive and started eating flake food right away.
