I got to thinking after reading some topics here,

How cold can the water get or if cold enough at all, to not be able to find
the things some natives find as food from plants n rocks n such out of creeks n ponds.....
Like stirring up the substrates in a creek to get tinys out of for food.....

Hope that is understandable, lol....

You can find stuff all of the time. If I recall (never having harvested them myself), under the ice was the prime place to catch glassworms.
