So I was using the last little bit of Flourish Iron i had for my planted 75g, and I fell a little short of the dosage, so I started knocking the crust off the neck of the bottle into the tank, figuring it would dissolve and finish out the dosage. Well, it turns out that iron crust was tasty to my prized male dollar sunfish! I have often had fish strike at aquarium salt and such being put in the tank, so I wasn't concerned until I watched him not spit it out. Has anyone ever had something like this happen, and (Irate...) will this fish die? I've heard over fertilization with iron can be toxic to fish, but I had no idea a fish would eat it.

My guess is he'll be OK.

What Martin? Okay?

I agree it will probably pass quickly enough that no damage will be done.
