Evidently they are a few members here who like myself bought some Northern longears from Brian. I thought I would share mine. I got mine back in April.

Beautiful! Mine has a little more red, but a lot less of the blue spangles than yours. How big are yours? I got mine in June, and my smallest is 2.25" and the largest is 3.25". They've been kind of constrained, but they're soon going to be in my 30 gallon tank, and my biggest male is going to hopefully have a mate soon.

Mine that I ordered came like half an inch long, but are about 1.5" long each.
I have two, and they are really nice looking fish. I also got a warmouth.

Very nice, Brian. When will your next batch be ready?

Currently fresh out of longears but plan to try to breed both the Northern Longears (L. m. peltastes, all fish in above pictures are this subspecies) and some western strain Centrals that arived today from a member on here. I would say it will be mid to late June before any will be for sale again.

Also good to see all your fish are doing well!

They're beautiful fish. The male I have pictured is starting to get a little hormonal. I got the female that Nate sent me, and I can't wait to get her conditioned for breeding. How long should it take for her to get ripe? I have the tank at 78F and I feed her the Super-Soft cichlid pellets supplemented with frozen bloodworms and live earthworms(LOTS of bloodworms and earthworms).

It won't take long, 2 weeks or so...
