A few friends and I are going to be taking a trip down to the TN drainage (Clinch and Holston area) on Columbus Day weekend. It was intended to be a smallmouth fishing trip but with the water getting so cool so soon we may be hitting the trout streams nearby. We were also planning on doing some collecting/sampling as that area is probably some of most diverse waters in Virginia. I was wondering if there is anyone on here that is in the area or knows the area that can give us some guidance. We were just planning on hitting the public access points and see what turns up. Any fishing and collecting tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
