I have been lurking around and thought it was time to introduce myself.

I've been into fish and pretty much anything aquatic for almost as long as I can remember. I fish a LOT and just recently started keeping fish again. I've got two tanks going now, a 75 gallon with a pumpkinseed, a couple of banded killifish, two swallowtail shiners, and a pair of tessellated darters. I've also got a pair of bluespotted sunnies in a 15 gallon Walstad inspired tank.

I'm originally from New York but I've lived in the DC area for ages.

I've already gleaned a lot of information from the forum. I'm an Internet veteran and have been involved with hobbyist type forums for ages. I'll try and contribute and help out as much as I can.

Hey Patrick, nice to see someone close to me. I too fish a lot, but not so much in our area anymore. I will be planning some events for next year so keep an eye out for them. If you want to get out and see a few more of our local fishes, let me know as I'm able to get out most weekends.

Welcome aboard from your neighbor to the south!

You might want to ask a loved one for a NANFA membership for Christmas so you can get the American Currents magazine. Many join just for the subscription.

You may be right, Magnus, although I hope most join for more than just that. But that may just be wishful thinking, I don't know. Anyway, welcome aboard, Patrick!

I guess you can say that unless you have no brain in your head you should join NANFA.
